South-South Model UNITED NATIONS is Organized by Imanis Education Enterprise  which focuses on bringing students and training them on how to be Future Diplomats through Diplomatic Simulations. Young Leaders and Change agents need a platform to exchange ideas and resolve the most challenging global issues. These Diplomatic Simulations are an ideal training grounds for aspiring Future Leaders and Diplomats to grasp and grip diplomacy, policies and critical thinking skill set that will enable them to become a better diplomat.

South-South Model United Nations also seeks to provide a platform for the youth to gain the requisite knowledge of the workings and systems of the United Nations as well as its functions. The SS-MUN will also provide an opportunity to facilitate dialogue amongst the youth and between the youth as well as build enviable leadership and diplomatic skills and horn the participation in governance, human right, community development, peace, and security as well as enhance their career in diplomacy and influencing on policies which will shape South-South, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
The South-South United Nations will build the leadership and diplomatic skills of the youth as well to improve their research, negotiation, and debate skills in proffering solutions to world pressing challenges for sustainable peace, economic growth, and development. The participants will function as delegates and/or heads of state to represent a country rather than theirs while representing the country’s position at the general assembly and committee sessions on issues with constructive debate, lobbying, and negotiation with significant contributions with an outcome of producing a resolution paper for policy for implementation.

What We Do

We organize a Model UN conference for high school and university students from the Global South. Our simulation builds knowledge, skills, and networks that foster diplomacy, leadership, and global citizenship.

Expected Outcome

1. The youth gain an understanding of the systems and workings of the United Nations
2. Build leadership, debate, lobbying, negotiation, diplomatic and research skills of the youths and student’s level
3. The youth and students understand the determinants and patterns of cooperation between member states
4. Improved the knowledge of youth and students on the workings and system of the United Nations
5. Draft resolution of the outcome of the summit to be submitted to the United Nations
